Can you remember when writing 2000/00 was strange? And here we are in 09! Had a wonderful time once more
celebrating holidays with visiting family and our Florida friends. Boy those Childers/Dye girls are a HOOT! Ms. PeeBody was the life of the party!! What a lovely way to ring in the new year.
A wonderful Xmas Eve celebration with our friends and family at PVPC and then Casa Marina turned into a lovely Xmas day. Tuesdays and Wednesdays will continue at Casa Marina www.casamarinahotel.com with both nights being upstairs in the penthouse until outside Spring weather prevails. We are looking forward to bringing our friends from the Hackers in for SPECIAL performances on Weds Feb 11 and March 11!!!! www.hackersband.com
Amy had a great trip back to PA for 2 weeks and is happy to be back in warm and sunny Fla. She has already passed the first part of her driving test (4 HOURS!) and is well on her way to new things in 09!
We had our FIRST New Years OFF in the 16 years that Kurt and I have known each other and it was a WONDERFUL celebration at the house with a beach run to count down to midnight! An overnight slumber party and a HUGE New Years Day breakfast cooked by that famous BonJovi Steel player made it a perfect holiday for all of us! I think we have a new tradition in the Johnston household.
A lunch of Hopping John and Collards at Marie Buggs house is always the best way to start off a new year.
Good news on Sis-in-Law Karin coming through her surgery CANCER FREE! And for the continued progress of our friend Patricks coma recovery!!! MIRACLES DO HAPPEN and we appreciate your prayers and energy that takes them through the upcoming months.
We have so much to look forward to ourselves in this new year and we are so glad that you are all a part of it! We have Kurts brother Wayne coming in for 2 weeks at the end of the month along with Mama Chick Johnston so we will have all kinds of news for next month!
