TIME TOGETHER IS THE BEST GIFT WE CAN GIVE TO EACH OTHER

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!

Another year is coming to a close!

We have been truly blessed over this last month with celebrating holidays with visiting family and our Florida friends.

We have had such lovely evenings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Casa Marina www.casamarinahotel.com

as you bring out your own friends, family, and co-workers for celebration time together.

Our niece, Amy Johnston came to visit us for a week in mid-month and has decided to finish her education as an early graduate here in the Spring and continue on with her education over the coming year. She was able to return to us for her extended stay in order to join us by Thanksgiving week! Thanks to all who have already welcomed her to our wonderful Florida community!

With our good friend Cynthia moving in from VA on the 6th - we are building quite a CLAN ~ now if we can just convince Dave English to get his butt down here from PA *and all the rest of our friends & family we would be GOLDEN!

Turkey Day…well okay, Crown Roast of Pork Day… was a wonderful day of laughter, love, music, and of course Peg/Mimaw outdid herself with her end of the food. Turkey, “both stuffings!”, and the BEST mac & cheese EVER came down the street in the hands of Susan Chalmers! Not only does the girl make us laugh until we cry – but she sings and cooks like a MASTER as well!!!

Extra cooking and setup/cleanup help came from the rest of the gang (and the EATING CREW) as we feasted the day away with the Chalmers clan – Eddie, Susan, Bryan and the AMAZING Rachel, as well as Kurts sons Eric & Dan, and our good friends: Claire, Towanna & Dick, Murphey, Marina, Donna, Candy & Reggie. Who said that doing dishes cant be fun? When you have Kurt musically accompany a house full of people singing and dancing & the amazing help of Candy - the day sure does fly by too quickly! Thanks to all who joined us in making another wonderful FAMILY memory.

A hole in the heart was certainly there for both of our Dads who crossed over this last year and family that was not physically with us at the table – especially Andrew…… our Chauncey Johnston …. the GRAVY KING, next year we will make it up to you!!!

The work month has been filled with CD studio projects that are all in the works. Keep your eyes peeled for several new projects set for release over the upcoming weeks as well as the St Augustine annual Xmas Charity CD sponsored by Eclipse Studios – www.eclipserecording.com

Kurts new position at PVPC as Assistant Music Director has been a complete blessing with the addition of so many new friends to our circle. Thanks to the talents of Worship Leader Dawn Hopkins and all of the musicians in the PVPC band and choir, Kurt finds renewed strength through his worship music on a weekly basis. I have enjoyed working with you all whenever it has been possible and I plan to join you more often in 2009! A shout out of appreciation for the extra efforts of Diana Patterson and the Fehr & Chalmers families for coming out to the gigs as well! www.pvpc.com

Special events through the holidays are listed on the calendar and events page – so check it out!

As MOST of you know – we appreciate your holiday cards and LOVE hearing from you, but please don’t be upset that we don’t send individual cards out to all of you… consider this note our Xmas Card to Y’all for a wonderful holiday season and sending blessings for a happy new year!

We are looking forward to the new year…or as our friend David Baker says ---- THAT WIDE OPEN BLANK SPACE… for 2009 and are excited about new gig prospects as well as more gigs with Lis & Lon Williamson/Driftwoods & Gatorbone Bands!

We are planning a few trips back to our friends in PA/NY/NJ several times through 2009 and will keep you posted accordingly.

Please take a moment to send special prayers to the Childers family for the recent tragedy of their extended family and for my Sis-in-law Karin who will be undergoing cancer surgery this week. They need your good energy thoughts at this time of year more than EVER!

All our love – all year through ~ Debrann
