WHAT A MONTH!!!
We had a short trip up to PA for the beginning of Oct and WOW! Thanks to all of our fans at Cactus Grill for 2 SOLD OUT nights and such wonderful expressions of connection. For all who made the effort for advance reservations with a special shout out to those who joined us both nights and Taylor Trail (TAY-LO) for singing your heart out with us.

A BIG thank you to all who brought Birthday and welcome home gifts to Kurt and Mom/Peg and especially to Joy and Bill Leach for the BEAUTIFUL gift to help us keep all of our PA fans close. We have already hung that old classic in the music office here in Fla!

To all of the Oreland PA friends who ganged up on Kurt on Saturday night. A night of flashbacks has brought extra smiles to our already happy days! You guys were silly and great and we really appreciate all of your YEARS of support!

To limo/car driver Chris for getting the nieces and nephew home safe. You are the best ~ if you are in PA and need a ride call Chris at: 215-348-5847.

To our host families David/Sue Baker & Marty/Linda Smith. We cannot thank you enough for making it SO easy to come back to our old stomping grounds --- your generosity of opening your homes is so greatly appreciated, but the little extra time we get to spend with you all is priceless. We love you!

Because of the amazing time we had at Cactus Grill and because of Marys daily crying spells begging for our return dates in 2009 – we will be planning several trips to PA/NY in the next year. We look forward to seeing you Northerners in March, June, August & HALLOWEEN! Please wait to make your reservations until 30 days before performance dates to help Mary and the gang in managing the influx.

Our visit to Kurts son Eric in NY was such a great day that Kurt has not stopped smiling since we got back! Eric --- WHAT A BOHEMIAN! Your roommates are great and we are sure you will all find success in your acting careers with the focus and spirit that flows through you all.

So with a slight change of schedule in mid-month we could get some time off! What a fun weekend we had with Lis&Lon Williamson and Sharon&Dan Pillen. PLEASE support these amazing musicians and our new friends from the Clare Lynch Band. If you like bluegrass and folk music – you have got to check this out!

*and check out Sharon and Dan (3rd Born Lefties) at MillTop in St Aug every Saturday 1-5pm and brother Don upstairs as well!!

An extra special Country Church Service brought pedal steel and banjo into the sanctuary for the first time and our good friend Frankie on drums for a wonderful Sunday at PVPC. Thanks to Music Director, Dawn Hopkins for having an open mind to new ideas sharing her honky tonk piano talents with us that day! It was a great way to welcome Frankie and his lovely wife, Mary to our church home ~ how special you all are to us!

The end of the month was extra special to us as we had a wonderful visit from niece Amy Johnston for the week. What a special young lady we have in this family. Thanks to all of you who embraced her during her time here – no doubt she will be back to see you all soon!

Heading into the holiday season means that we will be looking forward to all of you who need party bookings ~ The dates are filling quickly and New Years Eve is now available!
Special dates at PVPC and Casa Marina are already on the calendar and we will update it daily with any changes.

Remember that Casa Marina has made it possible to continue our Tues and Wed night performances with specials upstairs for acoustic night and heat lamps and drop panels (to block ocean winds). The evenings are FABULOUS! We invite our locals to join us some time soon ~ see you there!

Have a safe and happy holiday! Blessings to you all ~
