Description of ELA, Inc.

1. The Company:

E L Associates, a manufacturer's representative organization was started in 1971 by Elliott Lasky to serve the microelectronics industry, monolithic and hybrid, in the Mid-Atlantic states. In 1997, E L Associates was incorporated under the name ELA, Inc.

3. The People:

Elliott Lasky retired from ELA at the end of 1990 and is involved on a consulting basis only.

Mike McLaughlin joined ELA in 1983 and took ownership January 1991.

4. The Territory:

The region we cover consists of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.

5. Affiliations:

We are very active in both IMAPS (ISHM) and SMTA. Mike is a past-president of the Keystone chapter of IMAPS (ISHM). Currently, the newsletter/publicity chair for both the local chapter and the Keystone Symposium, and chairs the IMAPS Web Site Committee.  Mike has also been the IMAPS (ISHM) Mid-Atlantic region chair on the awards committee and on the ISHM ’97 International show committee.

As you can tell from our line card, our commitment to the hybrid/semiconductor market is tremendous. We are a technically-orienented sales organization and would be happy to discuss you requirements.
